Refund and Returns Policy

All sales are final on customized jewelry.

We only allow returns for jewelry that is purchased “off-the-shelf,” therefore customized orders cannot be returned. Ship your jewelry item back to us with the original packaging and a copy of your sales receipt within 7 days of the purchase in order to exercise our return policy. Only items that have not been tampered with or damaged by the customer may be returned.

In-Store Layaway Policy

  • An initial deposit (no minimum) must be paid when placing merchandise in layaway. Payments on items must be made consistently.
  • Failure to make a payment within at least3 months will result in merchandise removal from layaway and will be restocked.
    • In addition, a restocking fee of 15% of total invoice will be charges for any merchandise that is puled from layaway and re-stocked.
  • Any and all payments made in layaway are non-refundable, including those made on merchandise that has been restocked due to failure to complete layaway.

Preparing Your Return

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

  1. Indicate the reason for your return
  2. A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number is required for all returns. You may request an RMA in your return request email.
  3. Include the packing slip and all original documents in the package. Your packing slip MUST accompany the return.
  4. All returns will be inspected by our Quality Assurance team before we can process a refund.
  5. We will issue a refund, not including the shipping cost.
  6. Claims for damaged or missing items must be reported immediately. Sumner’s Jewelry is not responsible for lost or damaged return shipments.

Non-Refundable Items

  1. Special orders, personalized, and made-to-order merchandise cannot be returned or exchanged for a refund.
  2. Shipping fees are non-refundable*
  3. Returns with missing paperwork or product will not be processed.
  4. Returns will not be accepted if the RMA is not visible on the box.
  5. Returns will not be accepted if the tags are removed from the purchase item(s).
  6. Engraving or sized items cannot be returned or exchanged for or refunded.
  7. Insuring your return shipment for its full purchase value is strongly recommended. We are not responsible for a lost or stolen package. You may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

*You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

After Your Return Is Received

Once your returned item is entered into your system you will receive a confirmation email alerting you that your return has been passed along to our Quality Assurance Department. Please allow 10-15 business days for this process to complete.
